After practicing in the morning, I had lunch and bought a streudel, which I managed to have both after lunch and after dinner.
Then I ran into Rachel who invited me to join her in shopping, which eventually led to our encounter with a big walking international snowman advertising a new costume shop.
The snowman pointed us in the direction of the costume shop where we found a cocktail booth selling sodas and alcoholic beverages. I didn't partake, although Rachel ordered a coke and was given a cup of champagne in return.
"All drinks only 50 cents."
In the middle of the day I played the role of rehearsal pianist/coach for some Britten and Weil. I enjoyed the opportunity to run a small rehearsal. The Britten has some HARD stuff. Hard for working on it after only a few days that is.
I borrowed David's nail clipper and accidentally dropped it out on the roof of the window as I was discarding nail sheddings. That gave me an opportunity to look out and tape the outside. Like much of Freiberg, it looked very pictoresque.
Oh, no! Pianists with no nail clippers! What in the world are you going to do!
ReplyDeleteOn a different note, the ice cream sounds really good. Are you sure they don't have chunky monkey ice cream?
Well I was able to retrieve it. I just had to stick my head out of the window to grab it. I admit, I wouldn't want to do that again.
