I was at the piano for quite a long time today, but fortunately I had enough energy to sustain myself. I'm sad that I have to miss German class so often. I had to miss it today because of rehearsal and will have to miss it again tomorrow because of 8 hours of opera rehearsal at the Alte Mensa. Then on Thursday and Friday, class won't meet because of a national holiday. On the up side, I've been picking up more German in our rehearsal with Kersten Behrens, so I'm looking forward to that out of the classroom language learning experience. At some point, I'm hoping to to meet with Nick Kopta to iron out my Wolf translations. Tomorrow doesn't look like a possibility, and supposedly Thursday will be incredibly busy with rehearsals--I hope it doesn't beat 8 straight hours of rehearsal... It's kind of nuts how much this program squeezes into 7 weeks. I will have to remember to bring some sweet treats with me tomorrow to keep the happy level up. Fortunately there is a very good looking bakery across from the rehearsal location. Alas, an excuse to try out more bakery goods!
Go andrew!! Hope to see you home sometime :)
