Today was very much a down day to recover from all the opera performances on Saturday. I accumulated some chocolate over the week and avoided eating any of it up until today. It was wonderful. I want to buy much chocolate and come home with it. I'm not even sure if it's that much different from what we can get in the U.S. It's still delicious.
On a non-Germany related issue, I've been researching my credit requirements for IU, and apparently, I need 6 credits for what's called an Outside area, which functions like a minor. I can either take 6 credit hours within one non-piano department of the school of music (SoM), 6 credits in a field outside music, or a six credits within or outside the SoM that fits some sort of a theme or emphasis. I'm excited and overwhelmed by the possibilities. On the one hand, this could be a neat opportunity to further language study. On the other, I could do something else within music that could be very beneficial. It's hard to say what would be most interesting and beneficial. I don't know what would make me more marketable, and I also don't want to get too distracted from piano. So many options, so many possibilities.
