Day 30 - Lauenstein and Beggar's Opera Performance #2

The castle--I easily lost myself in it

Where we ate dinner
Schnitzel with pork, mushrooms, tomato, and macaroni and cheese
Süß Verführung - "Sweet Seduction" - The part I ate was good. It was supposed to come with kit kat bars and banana chunks, but it came with pineapples instead, so I asked them to give me this in place of what I didn't finish since they hadn't informed me of the banana kit-kat lack...
Schoko-kuss - It was fine.

Today we drove to a CASTLE in Lauenstein where we performed the Beggar's Opera. The performance went very well, and after the performance, we grabbed dinner nearby. As usual we were there for hours. So far, I have had (mis)communication issues that weren't my fault or faulty orders in all but one of my dining out experiences. Almost every time, something seems to go wrong. None of them really bother me a whole lot, but it's just strange to me they would happen so frequently.

One of my favorite parts of today included driving through some lovely scenery. It was like riding through post cards, one beautiful image after another. The vast fields and columns of trees on either side of the road were overwhelmingly tranquil and refreshing. I was overcome with a sense of peace and liberation admiring the view.

My favorite part of today was getting to know Hartmut and Katherine and having the chance to practice speaking Deutsch with them. I like them very much. They are very nice, and I hope to see them often in the next few weeks.

I am thankful for a wonderful day. Just the kind of day that I like to put under my pillow.
